I purchased an established peach tree which arrived as a 10" stick with roots. The goji berry vine died. The butterfly bush was also supposed to established. It was 3" tall! Customer service does not exist. Emailed the company and tried calling.
Don't waste you money on sub-par plants. I wish I had check reviews before wasting almost $100! The image attached is of the established peach tree after I planted it in soil and tried to get it to grow for the past 3 weeks!
I have been buying plants from Burgess for almost 20 years. The soil is poor out here, clay, but I throw some good soil in there and they usually grow! You can't get more bang for your buck. Sure, you can buy more mature plants at a nursery for 10x more, but for your money, Burgess is right on! Thank you Burgess!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I placed an order the 1st week of April for a$108.00. As of the 16th of June I received $10 worth of worthless seeds. You cannot call them their phone number only gives you a busy signal. When I try to e-mail the e-mails are returned undeliverable. All I wanted was a refund! I am a single old lady on a fixed income that just wanted to grow a nice garden to help supplement.
After waiting 3 months, emailing countless times, and foolishly attempting to call this sham of a company, my "plants"... actually just dried up shrivelled roots and twigs arrived. I soaked them in water so hopefully they come back to life... NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
I Spent $85.50 on two separate orders, both checks cleared my bank. Nothing came from Burgess just a note, telling me something I was waiting on was out of stock. I received a check from them several weeks later for $35.97 and email letting me know they might not be able to return my other amount due to it had already been sent to shipping? I sent a reply, just send me my money please. No one wants to bother with begging for good service, we have a right for it. I paid for it, Right?
Only one of the thirteen plants I ordered came alive. I would give this company a 0 star if I could. No customer service even if you try to get in touch with them on th phone it is always buisy
First I ordered and was told 3-5 weeks delivery. At 6 weeks I started calling. No answer. No voice mail. I emailed. No responses. At 7 weeks I finally spoke with someone via phone that stated they were running a little behind. 8 weeks - repeatedly tried to get responses. 9 weeks FINALLY TOLD THEY WERE SHIPPED! Came the next day. Two dead butterfly bushes. Now they won't refund or replace them. I will NEVER purchase from them again. Ever!
They will charge your credit card right away, one month later still no product. Can't talk to a person, constant busy signal. You can send an email, but the response is generic and does not answer your issue.
What a horrible experience with customer service today. Good luck trying to get satisfaction when they mess your order up. 2 different reps told me 2 completely opposite things. I'll never order from this place again
Does this place even exist? The phone is always busy, no one answers the emails, and u order something and never hear nor receive it. Stay away from this place!
It is May 6, spring is quickly passing, and the plants I ordered in March have not arrived.
Spent almost $100--never again will I use this company.

I spent almost $300, got 1 plant, no call return, no email... nothing, no customer service. Do not order from them seems like a fraudulent business.

8 MONTHS! From placing my order to my most recent shipment. Not one seed package was current, not one plant was received live, roots were molded, shipped the incorrect version of the items - can't speak with them on the phone, they don't answer email, and every email claims to ship items based on your climate zone - 8 MONTHS. I'm now looking for a list of all names and associates for this company - there are many and all just as awful.
Placed a very good size order with them about 6 weeks ago. Have not heard or seen anything from them! The number that is listed doesn't even ring you just get a "user busy" message! I don't do business with anyone you speak to! Considering filing a complaint with IL Agriculture Dept. never again
